* The 2-week online concession doesn't apply to Q2 (its due date already includes a one-month extension). † Typical agent lodgment program dates — your agent confirms your exact date. ‡ 28 Feb 2027 falls on a Sunday and Monday 1 March 2027 is Labour Day in Western Australia. The ATO treats a day as a public holiday if it is one for the whole of any state or territory, so the due date rolls to Tuesday 2 March 2027 for everyone.
If you pay PAYG instalments, they are reported on this same activity statement and share these dates. One important exception: if PAYG instalments are your only obligation, the ATO sends an instalment notice (BAS R/S/T) rather than an activity statement, and instalment notices are excluded from the 2-week online concession — see PAYG instalment due dates.

FAQ
When is my quarterly BAS due?
Standard quarterly BAS due dates are: Q1 (Jul–Sep) 28 October, Q2 (Oct–Dec) 28 February — 2 March 2027 for 2026–27, because 28 February is a Sunday and 1 March is a WA public holiday — Q3 (Jan–Mar) 28 April, Q4 (Apr–Jun) 28 July. If a due date falls on a weekend or public holiday, you can lodge and pay on the next business day.
Do I get extra time lodging my BAS online?
Yes. If you lodge your own quarterly BAS online you may be eligible for an extra 2 weeks — except Q2, which already includes a one-month extension (its due date stays 28 February, or 2 March 2027 for 2026–27).
Do I get extra time using a tax or BAS agent?
Usually. Under the agent lodgment program, quarterly BAS lodged by an agent are typically due about 4 weeks after the standard date (Q2 stays 28 February, or 2 March 2027 for 2026–27). Your agent will confirm your exact date.
When is monthly BAS due?
The 21st of the following month. For example, the July BAS is due 21 August. If the 21st falls on a weekend or public holiday, the next business day applies.
When is the annual GST return due?
31 October, or 28 February following the annual tax period if you are not required to lodge an income tax return.
